Sectional Round 1 Matchday

Today is win or go home day, simple as that. The Panthers' first round opponent is West Noble. West Noble is ranked 94 by MaxPreps and NorthWood was ranked near that until our defeat at Bethany; we are now at 124. We feel that we have been unlucky in the scoring department as of late. Where earlier on a lot of opportunities went in, lately we have found the keeper or woodwork in our way. The Panthers enter the Wawasee Sectionals with a 8-8 record. A win tonight will guarantee that we will finish the season with no less then a 500 record. This will be the final Sectionals for our seniors. Matt, Micah, Corbin, Jadon, Mason and Juan have been with us for four years and Randy for two. Juan has been a Varsity starter for all four and will be heavily relied on. Mason is still dealing with his ankle injury so his status will be known closer to game time. Hopefully all the other minor knocks have improved over the weekend. If the team comes out and plays hard, Juan style, we will walk off the field with win number 9! The bus leaves the school at 3:45. The game starts at 5 pm and will be played on the Wawasee football field (artificial turf).
