2014 Red-Black scrimmage
With the regular season only 9 days away, it was time for the annual Red-Black game. Twenty five players have come out so far and two of those were nursing injuries (Derek a lower leg injury and Brock a concussion). This left a single substitute for two teams. Both teams tried to execute the offensive and defensive 4-2-3-1 system. A fairly attractive game ended in a 3-2 win for Douwsma's Red Devils by way of a last ditch effort that found the net with 5.2 seconds left in the match. Referee Duerksen was impeccable all night long. There is some work to be done on both the physical part (conditioning) and strategic execution of the new set up. Next up for the Panthers is the away game at Elkhart Central on 8/21.
