Two-a-days

Two a days will start this coming Monday August 5th. We will be at the HS practice field (grass) from 9-11 am and at the turf game field from 1-3 pm. All athletes need to have their completed Physical in at the Athletic Office before the start of the first practice. You can wear cleats, indoor or turf shoes on the artificial grass field. Make sure to bring your own water/gatorade etc.. The coaches for the upcoming season are Coach Duerksen (Varsity Head Coach), myself (old Dijkstra; Varsity Assistant), both in our 23rd season, Seth Douwsma (JV Head coach, 7th season), Kyle Dijkstra (GK coach, 7th season) and Brayton Taylor (volunteer asistant, 1st season).

2019 Schedule

I don't believe that the 2019-2020 schedule has been posted on the school's website. Maxpreps.com does have our schedule for those who want to see the dates and times for the upcoming season.

Panthers win their own 2019 Classic!

NW defeats Westview, Elkhart Christian and Wawasee (7-0 for the championship) to bring home the trophy. Seventeen goals scored and none given up translates to a succesfull Tournament on a very hot day. The pre-season has concluded and we were able to win all 6 games. Next up is the "Jamboree" at Wawasee on August 17 when we face Manchester and Columbia City (and not Manchester City and Columbia as someone said!). The season opener this year is at home vs. one of two new opponents this year; Lakeland. The Lakers from LaGrange will be the first official Boys High school soccer game to be played on the new field.

NorthWood wins first three pre season games, hosts Panther Classic this weekend

On 7/12 and 7/13, NW defeats three Ohio teams (Bluffton 3-1, Central 5-4 and Hiland 3-0). On 7/20/19, the NorthWood Panthers will host the 3rd Panther Classic. It will be the first NW game on the new turf field at the soccer complex off of North Main Street. Temps will be in the mid to high 90's plus high humidity so it will again be a tough weekend on the pitch. The first game kicks off at 8 am (Bremen-Wawasee) At 9:15 NW faces Westview. At 10:30 Glenn plays Bremen and Westview and ECA face off at 11:45. The afternoon features Wawasee-Glenn (1 pm), NW-ECA (2:15pm) followed by the 3:30 game for 5th, 4:45 game for third place and finally the championship game at 6 pm. Group play will be 2x25 min and the cross finals will be 2x30 min. All tournament information and live game scores will be on pantherclassic.org which will be updated live from the field.
